Save Money + Support CharityWhen you buy a book after clicking a link on the nuonlinebooks.com website, NUOnlineBooks receives a referral commission - usually about 7.5-8%. Profits go to a charity called Family Focus Evanston to provide healthy snacks for the afterschool program. If you would like the entire 7.5-8% referral fee to go to Family Focus, be sure to select one of those organizations in our "Current Beneficiary" drop-down menu in the left hand margin of the site. If you select one of the 20 Student Group Beneficiaries, 5% of your purchase will go to that group and the remaining 2.5-3% will be donated to Family Focus. Family FocusFamily Focus Evanston was the sole NUOnlineBooks beneficiary for the 2005-2006 school year. During the year, NUOnlineBooks donated over $5,000 to Family Focus. Our donations helped fund providing health snacks to the afterschool program serving Evanston youths, as well as other special programming. Our goal for 2006-2007 is to help provide health snacks (fruit, vegetables, nuts, crackers, milk, etc.) every day for the 100+ youth in the program.
